FLIPPED CLASSROOM METHOD

PROJECT BASED LEARNING AND TECHNOLOGY

All our teachers can use the project based methods augmented with ai tools. Also they can build innovative learning environments in individually and collaboratively and share their products with each other

With this method, the absenteeism rate in adult education has decreased by 33% compared to before the project.

By implementing our project across the EU, we incorporated an innovative method such as the flipped learning model, which is applied in adult education at the EU level, into our course applications. The usage level of this method is 28% across the institution.

Why Blended Learning in Education

The region we live in has employment potential in many areas, primarily tourism, mining, aquaculture, energy, fishing, etc. For this reason, our region is among the districts with the highest migration in Turkeyand ranks 5th in Turkey with a net migration rate of 13%. Our institution has the highest number of trainees in the province of Muğla. 88% of our learner profile consists of female trainees. The percentage of female trainees who have dropped out of school early and migrated to our region from eastern provinces is 38%. These individualshave a great need for the qualified basic skills development training provided by our institution. The absenteeism rate of these individuals from courses is around 74%.Among the main reasons for absenteeism, trainees stated that- 74% of them experienced significant learning loss due to a few absences caused by their work life and living conditions;- 75% stated that classes were only held in face-to-face environments and were not supported by online environments,- 8% stated that they were able to use technological devices effectively in the learning process,- 85% stated that the classes were boring and did not attract their attention sufficiently because they were taught using traditional methods.
- Our instructors' knowledge level regarding digital tools used in Adult Education will increase and they will gain experience on how to incorporate innovative teaching methods into their courses.- With the Flipped Learning method, learners will not experience learning loss or absenteeism as there are no geographical limitations to learning.
